Navteq has developed a new reference solution that provides a recommended Map and Positioning Engine specification. The specification outlines optimal deployment of the GPS, microprocessor, memory and all required software. Navteq says the lower cost and smaller file size of its MPE map encourages broader vehicle adoption of map-enhanced driver assistance applications.
