First Tests of a New Russian Remote Sensing Satellite

Spacecraft Space-CX was commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture and has completed first tests. The satellites of this class will receive high-precision data on the status of agricultural land, and will be used to predict and assess agricultural crop yield. In addition, the new spacecraft will provide information useful to predict droughts, floods and other natural phenomena that can be harmful to agriculture of the country. It is anticipated that the information will provide valuable data to minimize their effects.
