China TransInfo Technology Corp has acquired Beijing UNISITS Technology Co. Ltd. UNISITS produces products for China's intelligent transportation systems industry, primarily traffic engineering systems for expressways.

Presently, the company has reached over 20 provinces with an accumulated coverage of 8000 kilometres of expressways.

Through its close cooperation with Tsinghua University, UNISITS has developed an expressway weigh-in-motion system and lighting control system, both of which have been widely applied in a number of provinces in China.

The company was established in 2002.

In addition to its products for roads, UNISITS provides products and services for railways, and urban transportation markets. It has developed a comprehensive nationwide service network to provide technical assistance for its products.

In 2008, UNISITS generated approximately $32.2 million in revenue and $3.8 million in net income. CTFO paid about $6.5 million for the company.
