IWS GIS in Colombo has launched a navigation service. The system is carried by Sri Lanka's largest mobile communications company, Dialog Telekom.

Sold as Dialog SatNav street navigator, it features a street directory of Colombo and its suburbs as well as class A and B roads across the island. The application provides audio and visual prompts. It also allows users to view maps in either 2D or 3D and to pre-configure frequently-used routes.

IWS is a mapping company whose core businesses are in developing Sri Lankan geographical information. It uses wireless and mobile technologies to provide multi-functional and multi-informational tools across many different plaftorms.

It also pioneered Sri Lanka’s fleet management services in 2005.
