Eternix Releases the New Version of Blaze Stereo Extension

Eternix Ltd. today announced that it has released the advanced version of Blaze Stereo Extension. The enhanced Stereo Extension enables users to experience their geographical data in true stereoscopic view, on-the-fly and without pre-processing. Blaze Stereo Extension now supports both the hardware-based NVIDIA 3D Vision, and the simple anaglyph stereo. The extension renders a stereoscopic view in real-time, using any geodata, regardless of size or complexity: Terrain elevations, 3D models, extruded shape files, and even user-created symbols and annotations. ArchiCAD 14 Korean Version Released

The Korean version is the twenty-fifth of 26 local versions in ArchiCAD 14’s global release schedule, and follows the release of the International, German, Austrian, New Zealand, US, Italian, Australian, French, Polish, Hungarian, Dutch, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Russian, Czech, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Greek, Turkish, Danish, Chinese, and Swiss versions.  All local versions are planned to reach the market by early 2011. For more information about the Korean version, please visit www.archicadkorea.com.

   

Automated Spatial Metadata Acquisition and Collation

Omniscient is a suite of tools for metadata management, with three core components: 1) OMNISCIENT Harvester - scans, mines and extracts metadata across files, file systems and databases to produce an inventory of spatial and associated data that is the starting point for the establishment of best practice information management and in particular the creation of a spatial data infrastructure(SDI) within a business unit, an agency and the wider community.

 

Terralook Version 2.0 (beta) Software Released

TerraLook provides easy access to new and historical satellite images for users that lack experience with satellite images, or for anyone looking for a convenient way to obtain and work with these images. Formerly known as the Protected Area Archive, TerraLook combines collections of georeferenced JPEG images with simple visualization and analysis tools to help users explore and utilize the data, and all data are free. The US Agency for International Development (USAID) funded this latest TerraLook upgrade through SERVIR— the Regional Visualization and Monitoring System— an initiative representing a partnership between USAID, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and numerous other organizations.
