EyeFind provides you online viewing access to the complete RapidEye Archive of imagery collected since the start of RapidEye's commercial operations in February 2009. With EyeFind you can easily view all browse images collected by RapidEye satellites based on date, cloud cover and product type. Tourism Atlas Coming for Tourism in Azerbaijan

The State Land & Cartography Committee of Azerbaijan is developing a tourist atlas of Baku within the Year of Tourism. The Committee reports that an atlas will be made on the basis of aerial surveys in scale of 1:10000. The atlas (to be published in Azerbaijani and Russian languages) will provide information not only about tourist sites but also on special public institutions, architectural monuments, embassies, banks, medical centers. RapidEye announced today that Cambodia and Laos-based Aruna Technology is now part of its growing

Myanmar - 1:50K Topographic Vector Data

Now available from East View Cartographic is a 1:50,000 scale GIS topographic vector dataset of Myanmar. The vector dataset includes full coverage of Myanmar in a series of 1,134 15-minute x 15-minute sheets. No other commercially-available mapping covers the entirety of Myanmar at the level of detail offered by this map series from EVC. This is a great database for any researcher or corporate/government user with interests in this closed country where virtually no GIS data is available. Read More

 

RADARSAT Data Inf. - Mapping and Emergency Response in Russia

MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. has signed a contract for $2.5 million (CAD) with ScanEx Research and Development Center (ScanEx) to provide RADARSAT data information to multiple ground stations in Russia over three years. The information will be used by Russian commercial, academic, and government users for applications that include maritime navigation, environment effects, ice monitoring, mapping and emergency response. MDA has supplied ScanEx with RADARSAT data information since 2004, supporting a network of ground stations in Russia that are built, maintained, and serviced by ScanEx. The ground stations provide satellite monitoring support for the entire Russian territory, and adjacent regions. Read More
