Socium Launches Online Validation Service to Users Worldwide

Following the highly successful UK and Ireland launch of the cloud based, Online Validation Service last November, Socium are today opening up the service to give access to users worldwide. The Online Validation Service, Socium’s first offering to the market, provides an independent, simple and easy to use way of validating spatial data against a set of standard or user-defined business rules. The validation process takes a matter of seconds to run through and once completed provides the user with a quantitative analysis of their data quality against each of the rules selected.

Hala Lake - is the salt lake in north-eastern part of Haisi-Mongolian-Tibet autonomous area of the Chinese Qinghai Province. It is also known as the Heihai Lake, which means "Black Sea" in Chinese. Hala Lake is located at the bottom of Qilian mountains, which highest peak is the Kangze'Gyai mountain (5817 m). Trimble Introduces Cloud-based Data Management and Deployment - Environmental Services

Trimble introduced today cloud-based data management for its SiteFID Gas Monitoring solution used in the environmental services market—the Trimble Connected Community - Environmental. The Connected Community - Environmental provides real-time management and deployment of SiteFID landfill gas surface monitoring data. It allows field monitoring data to be uploaded to the cloud and stored in a secure and replicated infrastructure designed specifically for positioning data. Environmental monitoring data can then be accessed in real time by other team members at locations with an Internet connection. The environmental data files are version controlled and updates to field data can be verified and tracked.
   

Transas GMDSS Simulator Used for Training of Radio Operators in Indonesia

The new simulator configuration includes one instructor station and eight trainee stations at each location. Together with stand-alone GMDSS Simulator CBT and two sets of GMDSS real radio, these new systems are intended for training and examination of Indonesian seafarers in GMDSS radio system operations. The Directorate General (DG) Post & Telecommunication is one of Transas's first customers in Indonesia.
