Trimble’s Next Generation GeoExplorer 6000 Series Handheld Delivers High-Accuracy GNSS

Trimble introduced today the new GeoExplorer 6000 series of high-accuracy Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) handheld computers. The series delivers dramatic improvements in difficult GNSS environments such as urban canyons and under tree canopy using Trimble Floodlight satellite shadow reduction technology.

 

Broadcom - Featuring GLONASS Satellite Support

Broadcom Corporation announced two new GPS system-on-a-chip solutions that include support for the GLONASS Russian Navigation Satellite System, which almost doubles the number of satellites that are available for navigation.

   

Siemens to Support the Development of Mass Transit in China

The Siemens Mobility Division has received three orders from China for the supply of propulsion systems. A total of 93 new trains are to be equipped with propulsion technology and deployed on the Shanghai Metro Line 11, Zhengzhou Metro Line 1 and Ningbo Metro Line 1 . The equipment package includes the gearboxes, auxiliary converter units, traction motors, traction converters and train control systems.

With modified firmware, all JAVAD GNSS receivers can track Chinese Compass B1 signal now. This is 6th GNSS system supported by JAVAD GNSS (GPS, Glonass, Galileo (Giove), SBAS (Egnos), QZSS, Compass).
