PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of geo-imaging software and systems, has announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Beijing Space Eye Innovation (BSEI) for the distribution of its Geomatica software in China. BSEI is also PCI’s Solutions business partner and reseller for the award winning GeoImaging Accelerator (GXL) technology in China.

Since February 2009, BSEI has successfully partnered with PCI Geomatics, reselling Geomatica to the Chinese market. Given BSEI’s success, PCI Geomatics has renewed the exclusive agreement until 2015. Under the terms of the agreement, PCI provides support and resources to BSEI including joint Sales and Marketing, as well as local technical support through PCI’s China office, located in Beijing.

“PCI Geomatics has established a strong and successful relationship with BSEI,” said Yubin Xin, General Manager of PCI Beijing Technology Corporation Ltd. “The Chinese economy continues to expand and use of Geospatial imagery is growing rapidly. Together with BSEI, we are well positioned to offer leading edge solutions to the Chinese market to solve the challenges and opportunities associated with the growth in China.”

“BSEI has established a strong brand and broad commercial network in China since its inception in 2000. Geomatica has a very broad user base in China – especially in the academic community, where many researchers need leading edge software to carry out their analysis,” said Xiaoyang Cheng, General Manager of BSEI. “With the launch of many new, high resolution satellite sensors in China that are capable of collecting terabytes of imagery on a daily basis, we look forward to offering GXL as a solution for processing and analyzing such large volumes of imagery.”

PCI Geomatics recently released Geomatica 2012 which has been available to the Chinese market since September 2011. In addition, PCI has successfully installed several high throughput GXL production systems in China. Find out more by visiting: www.pcigeomatics.com/geomatica and www.pcigeomatics.com/gxl.
