Mumbai Will Have New CRZ Boundaries from 2013

The civic body will soon redraw city's map to help finalise the coastal regulation zones (CRZ). The exercise will include marking high tide and low tide lines on seashores and boundaries for gaothans and koliwadas. In January, the Centre issued a notification to all local self-governments, including the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to appoint a consultant to study the coastal line, demark and fix pointers for CRZ classification.
