The Department of Environment and Natural Resources(DENR) has launched a cadastral survey to delineate the political boundaries of each of the city’s 128 barangays, a project mayor Mauricio Domogan deems complicated within a 180-day time frame. At the project briefing last Friday, the mayor rallied the city’s barangay officials to support the survey, particularly for the immediate settlement of border disputes, or else “ha’n nga mailippas dayta (the project won’t be finished).” He warned against surveys that had resulted in boundary feuds instead of settling misunderstandings.
