The State Government has decided to use space-based information system for micro-level planning and monitoring. The new technique, known as SIS-DP (Space Based Information Support for Decentralised Planning), is able to generate huge GIS data on land cover, settlements, soil, slope, water sources, road network, public utilities, communication network and healthcare.
