The government has given the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) the go-ahead to start a search for a new rocket launch pad. The current launch pad at Sriharikota faces problems in launching remote sensing satellites, as a lot of rocket fuel is wasted in avoiding a flight that passes over Sri Lanka. Read More
