The A-SPEC group was formed to streamline the processes undertaken to display new assets within each member’s GIS and Asset Management Systems.A common specification for the supply of digital data was identified as a major opportunity for the consortia members to achieve efficiency and cost savings in the process of maintaining their corporate geographic information systems (GIS) and asset management systems (AMS). The key objectives of the A-SPEC Group is to streamline stake holders’ (local government/utilities) processes for receiving, handling and storing of infrastructure related to subdivision developments in their GIS.
