Indonesia and South Korea Partner on Scientific Research

Indonesia`s Maritime and Fisheries Ministry (KKP) and South Korea`s Maritime Institute (KMI) are to step up their scientific cooperation for the benefit of both countries. "The KKP and KMI will actively explore scientific cooperation opportunities in maritime and fishery research," Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Fadel Muhammad said here on Wednesday. Fadel explained that the scientific cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea was among others through maritime and fishery researches, development of marine technology and capacity building, development of marine resources alternative energy, and sustainable and integrated management of marine and coastal ecosystems.
