Six Punjab Cities to be Mapped by Geographical Information System

The Punjab government is all set to put six big cities with ultra modern ‘Geographical Information System’ (GIS) to facilitate future planning, expansion and maintenance of civic infrastructure in these cities. Disclosing this here today, Local Bodies and Industries Minister Mr. Tikshan Sud said that GIS would be started in the cities including Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda and Pathankot by October 31st of this year, which would be further implemented in remaining districts of the state.
