JAXA - Hosting Sites for Multi-GNSS Monitoring Network

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is pleased to announce the launch of the first step in the establishment of the Multi-GNSS Monitoring Network. The project is a contribution to the establishment of global, continuous observation network for multiple GNSS constellations in collaboration with the International GNSS Service (IGS). The project is now open for applications for 60 hosted sites for multi-GNSS receivers and antennas to be provided by JAXA.

Kalam Suggested ISRO to Build Satellite Service Station

Former President of India A P J Abdul Kalam Thursday suggested that Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) build a satellite service station in geo-synchronous orbit as he saw an opportunity for it in this field. Kalam, himself an acclaimed rocket scientist, said many satellites in the geo-synchronous orbit face problems relating to power and fuel after three or five years in service.
