Bakosurtanal, Indonesia’s coordinating agency for survey and mapping, has just recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Ministry of Housing which signals a heightened cooperation between the two agencies on the use of geospatial information for the development of public housing in the country. According to an official statement from Bakosurtanal, the Ministry of Public Housing will use geospatial information for the construction of housing and settlement areas, and as well as to increase the effectiveness and efficiency in housing programmes and residential neighbourhood.
