The draft Rural and Urban Addressing Standard is being reviewed. Standards New Zealand invites you to provide comments via their website.  The draft Addressing standard establishes requirements and guidance for addressing authorities to use for:

• Assigning addresses
• Naming roads and localities
• Recording and mapping the related information
• Signage related to the above.

Within New Zealand this standard will be used by territorial authorities to allocate address and road names under their jurisdiction. The standard will set the requirements for address information in New Zealand for the future.
