China Aims to Launch Eight Beidou Navigation Satellites by 2012

China has sent eight Beidou satellites into orbit, with the latest launched in April, said Ran Chengqi, director of China Satellite Navigation System management office at the second China satellite navigation academic annual meeting. Eight more will launch by 2012, and by 2020, about 35 satellites will form Beidou's global satellite navigation system. Read More
