DES and ISI Collaborate on Heat Island Mapping

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 12th April 2011 between the Institute Sultan Iskandar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (ISI) and DES Consulting Pte Ltd, Singapore (DES) to cooperate on the field of urban heat island mapping and simulation studies. This effort is important for climatic change studies, sustainable planning and architecture development, energy efficiency management, carbon footprint and other related fields. The outcomes of the collaborative ventures are for mutual benefits and specifically geared towards supporting the development of Iskandar Malaysia region and the city of Johor Bahru.
