City of Solo, Indonesia - Working on a Sustainable Urban Transport Strategy and Plans

In the next seven months, GTZ-SUTIP, CDIA and their consultants will be working closely with the Technical Team that is headed by the City's Transportation Department and the Steering Committee that is chaired by the Mayor Joko Widodo himself. The goal of this cooperation is to create a long-term strategy for sustainable urban transport development, a mid-term action plan and the corresponding list of priority investment projects.


All of these will be finalized in the Phase One of the consultant work. In the Phase Two, the consultants will be working on two pre-feasibility studies for the two top investment projects in the priority list. While GTZ SUTIP will follow up on the capacity building development needs, CDIA will continue its assistance in ensuring that the two top priority projects get the funding they deserve, either from international or national sources, private or public funds.
