IBM To Build Massive China Cloud Data Centers

 

IBM will participate in building a new technology center 50 kilometers (31 miles) outside Beijing that will become "Asia's largest cloud computing data center," according to an announcement Wednesday from IBM headquarters in Armonk, N.Y. The multi-building campus will cover 6.2 million square feet and include offices, call centers, restaurants, and living spaces, as well as what appear to be at least seven, low-slung data centers, each with 160,000 square feet, according to an architectural drawing of the site.
