GLONASS Launch Failure - End of GLONASS?

Last week three GLONASS satellites were launched from Baikonur, Russia and failed to achieve orbit. A quick review of the international media showed a wide variation in response. Some were downright negative, seeing the failure as the end of the GLONASS program. That is not the case and not going to happen.

Eurasian boreal forest covers a vast area stretching from Norway to the most easterly part of Russia, and from Siberia to northern Mongolia.

CEO Survey Reveals Mixed Outlook for Asia Pacific Technology Sector for 2011

A Deloitte survey of Asia Pacific’s fastest growing technology companies revealed that just over half (54 percent) had a strong growth outlook for the next 12 months, while 43 percent predicted weak or negative growth. Even with the economic rebound this year, 35 percent of CEOs surveyed said they had mixed performance in the past 12 months. Ten percent said they saw overall decline in their business this year.  Half (49 percent) however, said they experienced strong growth this year.

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) has announced the addition of Mark Bittner to manage the North American sales of its Topcon Precision Agriculture (TPA) business unit and develop global agricultural OEM opportunities. Bittner, senior vice president and general manager of the company's global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) division, will assume the additional responsibilities for global agriculture OEM and North American aftermarket sales management. Bittner will continue to report to Ray O'Connor, TPS president and CEO.
